RESTORATION OF HARD DENTAL TISSUES IN A THERAPEUTIC DENTISTRY CLINIC

The educational and methodology manual “Restoration of dental hard tissues in a therapeutic dentistry clinic” was written by a team of authors of the St. Petersburg State University Department of Therapeutic Dentistry and translated into English that allows expanding the circle of readers and educating foreign students. That teaching aid highlights the physical and chemical properties of up-to-date filling materials: composites and glass ionomer cements, examines the indications for their use in clinical practice. We have paid special attention to a classifications of adhesive systems, working details depending on the generations.

The teaching aid includes the latest achievements and research data of domestic and foreign authors in material science and adhesive dentistry, based on the years of research performed by experienced clinicians and staff of the department. Coherent narration, well systematized information, as well as control questions specified for each topic, allows quick acquiring information, as well as controlling the acquired knowledge.
